The Legal Action Center created “State Profiles of Health Care Information for the Criminal Justice System,” an interactive map designed for use by criminal justice practitioners to help returning citizens and those on parole or probation access affordable health care easier.
By clicking on a state, one can find basic information on the state’s health care system, insurance, including links to free or low-cost health benefits, and also on substance abuse and mental health services.
