Forty Criminal Justice Reform Organizations Issue Report Scrutinizing Criminal Justice System

Sixteen key areas reviewed, with recommendations for changes discussed
The Smart on Crime Coalition, comprised of numerous groups working to bring about criminal justice reform, released its report Smart on Crime: Recommendations for the Administration and Congress which analyzes problems in the federal and state criminal justice systems. The coalition, which includes organizations such as Families Against Mandatory Minimums, The Innocence Project, Open Society, as well as legal, educational, religious and juvenile justice advocacy groups gives detailed attention to a wide range problems and offers concise recommendations on how the problems can be corrected.
