IOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - A new program to help connect inmates to those who want to encourage them, called Adopt and Inmate, is underway.
At a recent event, Sioux Falls police chief Jon Thum encouraged all residents to think of ways to improve prisoner rehabilitation.
“We want people to be rehabilitated. We want less people committing crimes. And that’s something we all play a part in. We don’t have to wear a badge to do that. That’s something we can do within our day-to-day lives and with what we choose to support or not support as a community,” Thum said. Continue reading >>>
